DIDN'T WE DO WELL...…...

 

We want to thank everyone who voted for us in the 2020 Heritage Railway Association, Steam Railway magazine award, in which the Bury Standard 4 Group were nominated, along with nine other projects, who all achieved something special during the previous twelve months.

 

We came second to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway's restoration of the 9F loco no 92134.

 

This is a fantastic recognition of a small restoration group, who were runners up to a major national heritage railway organisation.

 

This accolade is dedicated to the founders of the Bury Standard 4 Group and to all the members who have contributed many hundreds of hours working on the restoration of our loco, 80097.

 

Our thanks again to all who voted for us and to the small team who were involved in publicising this nomination and canvassing for votes for us.
