80097 New Year's Summary | 2020 Heritage Railway Association Awards

Ivatt ‘Mogul’ Class 2 MT 2-6-0  No 46428

 

Work continues on the Ivatt basic restoration preparation:

 

            The cab roof has now been fully stripped so that all parts can be used as templates

 

            The wear strips on the pony truck have been removed ready for replacements

 

            The new pony truck stretcher is being line bored

 

            New cab frame joining pieces are being fabricated

 

            New cylinder end covers are being made and new valve studs are being turned

 

            Main pony truck casting is being reassembled
