Bob has completed the locker fittings in the cab. He and Stuart have fitted the roof securing bracket in the cab.
Dave and Bob have been preparing coupling links for the loco.
Harry has now completed checking all the assemblies bolted onto the frame and fitting cotter pins, taper pins and split pins to secure them.
Hughie has finished the priming of the boiler cover plates.
Jim has painted the rear of the cab lockers and coal bunker doors in black.
Phil and Dave have started replacing the lubricating wadding in the connecting rod spindles.
Nigel and Allan have been fitting new shelving in the wagon used for storing the shop spare goods.
Allan has done more improvements to the sink and boiler area.
We’ve welded up a ground signal box to repair it for our friends in the ELR S & T department.
WAGON UPDATE
Many of the team have worked on the High Fit wagon preparing the second end’s buffer beam and drag box.
