Autumn Raffle 2024 Results

Our Grand Autumn Raffle was drawn last Sunday at Bury Bolton St Station. The Santa Specials are in full swing and the draw took place on platform 3/4. The actors portraying the Christmas characters kindly drew the 3 winning tickets for us:

1st prize, the cab ride, was drawn by the Fairy Godmother played by Racheal. The winning ticket was bought by Ian Tate of Heaton Mersey. He will be invited to come and enjoy a full there and back ride on our Standard Class 4 loco 80097 in spring or summer of 2025 by mutual arrangement.

2nd prize, a £20 shop voucher to spend in our sales coach on platform 1 at Bury Bolton St was won by Callum Pennington of Mossley. It was drawn by the Reindeer also Rachel.

3rd prize,  a £10 shop voucher and was won by Antony Patterson of Warrington. It was drawn by The Little Drummer Boy played by Cameron.

This concludes the autumn raffle which has been a great success. It is a vital source of income towards the cost of running our Standard 4 loco 80097 and it’s return to service now in the new year and provide funding towards the long term restoration of our Ivatt class 2 Mogul 46428 which is progressing.

We would like to thank all those who bought tickets at our shop, on the trains at the Autumn Steam Gala and at the various model railway shows around the north west where we have been promoting our group and raising our profile.

We still have a raffle running, our £150 Tesco Hamper draw which runs until 21st December. Tickets can be bought at our shop and at platform 3/4 at Bury Bolton St Station where we are at the ELR Christmas shop.
